Volcano in Iceland - Amazing Photos!

An Icelandic volcano, dormant for 200 years, has erupted, ripping a 1km-long fissure in a field of ice. The volcanic ash has forced the cancellation of many flights and disrupted air traffic across northern Europe, stranding thousands of passengers.  Collected here are photos of the most recent eruptions.

The volcano has erupted for the second time in less than a month, melting ice, shooting smoke and steam into the air and forcing hundreds of people to flee rising floodwaters.

You are the first one to update Iceland's volcano, erupted almost after 200 years disturbed flights all over Europe. Got to be a reason. Scientists will say all due to global warming in a week or so. Is it true after completion of eruption earth cools down to some extent? At this moment it only increases the temperature around but believe the same heat was hidden before and revealed now and after completion the same warming up going to remain.

Fantastic. People risk their lives to take such pictures. Any video clips are available? Would interesting to watch. I remember in 1991 we flew from Jakarta to Bali island & plane took us over the Volcano that had errupted 4 yrs ago & life had started sprouting up in downside pathway burnt by lava. Then on the way back to Singapur had opportunity to see 'Ring of Fire' programme at Singapore Planetorium on live volcanic erruption that had been filmed on several Volcanos distributed on a ring around the world. A must see for anybody visiting Singapore. Thanks for making me remember.
