4  General Category / General Discussion / Is Suicide the Answer? on: March 23, 2009, 07:25:18 PM
Lately, i've observed a rise in suicidal rates. Everyday the newspapers carries atleast one news about someone commtting suicide for various reasons. Its sad to see the reasons are as petty as a mother committing suicide bcoz her 9yr old daughter was not studying! Why are we choosing to end our lives on such trival issues? Is our life so not worth it? why cant we face situations? what is it that is making us take this step? how can we handle things better?

5  General Category / General Discussion / Re: why adolescence choosen for terrorism ? on: December 10, 2008, 05:41:37 PM
According to me Youngesters are or adolscents as u said are used for terrorism as this is a very impressionable age. Anything taught at this age can make a HUGE difference. Besides youth is very energetic and powerful. They have the energy to turn the whole world upside down. Its very easy to create an impression on the youth as they get provoked very easily. Thats the reason according to me

7  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Junk food on: September 30, 2008, 08:11:23 PM
What, How much and when to eat is totally a persons right. Nobody should ban it. The governmental concern is right if considered from the point of view that todays parents have no time to teach their children what is right and wrong. But this issue can be handled with a little more maturity from the government. What i mean here is that the government should standard-ise the food items sold in and around the school and college campus. For ex. the kind of oil, the amount of calories that the food carries, the areas where this food is made should be kept clean and hygienic. Junk food is something everybody craves for not just kids. So many times we see a huge crowd of office going people enjoying their cutting chai with a hot vada-pav or kachhi dabheli outside their office buildings. In this case, even that is junk food.
Education should be given in school as to much of some food item should be a limit in the growing childrens diet. Parents should also talk to their children about it.
These days children are more health cautious than elders... acc to me.. thats what i have seen atleast. If you observe lots of teenagers are turning to having fruit juices or milkshakes rather than soft drinks.
thats all i have to say for now Smiley

8  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Will You Forgive on: September 28, 2008, 08:11:57 PM
I think I would forgive a person and let bygones be bygones. Its always easy to point that someone was wrong. But it is necessary to put yourself in that persons shoes and understand why a particular thing happened at that point of time. We are all human beings bound to make mistakes, and most of the times these happen without meaning to. At such times it is wise to think about it calmly. Some mistakes are made by seeing only one side of the issue and taking a decision conducive o oneself without thinking of the other. May be at the starting point of time. I wud think that the person was so wrong and all tht.. but i am sure at later thought with a little wider view i would definitely be bygone be bygones Smiley

10  General Category / General Discussion / Re: OPEN RELATIONSHIPS :Read and post ur views on: September 22, 2008, 08:48:31 PM
Nice topic  Smiley
Firstly I would like to say that Moral values are different for each human being on this earth because they majorly depend upon the upbringing and experiences a person gets and how he decides to react to them.so this would change from person to person- what is morally right and morally wrong
And I think open relationships must be adding to trouble... so i vote for here are more chances of emotional, psychological, sexual, physical and economic violence as well as cheating, fraud and back-stabbing
