Here r d answers for yesterdays questions :

1. Which is the world's tallest building?

Ans: Taipei 101

On October 9, 2003, the uppermost and final spire segment was raised into place on Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan. At 509.2 meters, the 101-storey tower now officially holds the world's tallest building title previously held by Petronas Towers 1 & 2.Sears Tower, Chicago still holds the title of the world's tallest building to the tip of the antenna at 527 meters. Taipei 101 now also holds the highest roof (449 m) and highest occupied floor (439 m) titles. Architects say Taipei 101 is better equipped to withstand an attack similar to the September 9/11 on the World Trade Center, New York, allowing people more time to escape. The skyscraper of steel, concrete and glass houses a shopping mall, offices for 12,000 people, and the stock exchange.

2. Which is the world's tallest residential building?

Ans: 21st Tower , Dubai

The building, located in Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai is entirely pre-leased to Emirates Airlines to house its flight attendants. The tower includes a rooftop swimming pool and gymnasium. A 9-storey car park adjoins the main tower. Trump World Tower (262 m) was the world's tallest all-residential tower from 2000 to 2002, when it was surpassed by Tower Palace Three, Tower G (264-m). 4. Which of the following is home to the second largest number of skyscrapers in India?

Ans: Gurgaon

The financial capital of Mumbai has the highest number of skyscrapers in India - 476. Gurgaon is a distant second with 85 skyscrapers closely followed by Kolkata (83). Located to the south of Delhi, Gurgaon a major city of Haryana is a fast developing city and is part of the National Capital Region. DLF Sqaure Tower (90 m and 22 floors) is the tallest building in Gurgaon.

5. What is common to Guys Towers, Galter Pavilion, Quenny Tower?

Ans: These are some of world's tallest hospitals

Guys Hospital was founded by Sir Thomas Guy, a printer, publisher and governor of St Thomas's in 1720. It formally opened in 1726 with 100 beds and a staff of 51. It is Europe's tallest hospital. The Galter Pavilion houses clinical and office space for up to 600 Northwestern Memorial Hospital and private physicians.
