FOTN now has new repost rules. These are how mods should handle reposted topics. Members spend lots of time researching and finding new topics, so to avoid unnecessary disappointment these rules have been formulated.

Put link to reposted topic - Do put a link to the previous topic if its a repost. If someone complains that it is repost, tell them to post the link to the old topic. No topics to be locked without a link. Mods obviously cant search for reposts all the time (especially for image posts), but in most repost cases, the original topic poster complains with link or it is a very recent topic and the link is easily found.Topic Age - A topic over 6 months old and if a repost is OK. A repost link can be given if found, but topic can be allowed to continue.Topic Merging - It is preferable to merge reposted topics with the original one.
