Bipasha Basu .... Anna Director: Suneel Darshan Barsaat is a romantic musical movie directed by Suneel Darshan. The film stars Priyanka Chopra, Bobby Deol and Bipasha Basu in a love triangle. Story of BARSAAT looks completely out of place in todays time with stupid stuff like KARWA CHAUTH, PATI DEV ETC. The amateurish handling of the subject and a humdrum screenplay are its biggest culprits! But there is no denying that film works to an extent because of superlative performance from Priyanka Chopra and there is something about it which touches your heart! Priyanka as Kajal  ‘Barsaat’ has Bobby playing an ambitious guy named Arav. To chase his dreams, Arav leaves his home for better prospects abroad. Besides ambition, Arav has a golden heart too. He is the man who drops everything to return home after hearing that his father is unwell. Bipasha as Anna  Priyanka Chopra as usual does justice to a role which looks very ’behenji’ type. A girl who is doing ‘pooja’ all the time,who is so much in love with her husband and family. She is the one who waits for love, rather chase it obsessively. She has the faith that a true emotion that rises from the bottom of the heart seldom goes unreciprocated. Bipasha Basu plays Anna whose love is obsessive, possessive and intense. She is a fast, passionate, practical girl, the one who knows how to take what she wants. The actress does not succeed in registering a strong impact on the viewers.Her acting is passable! On the whole, ”Barsaat” ends up looking like a typical Bollywood film.It has a very outdated plot, which won`t appeal to many of the viewers. Those who like typical Bollywood films might like this one,but others who are searching for something different will dislike this film. The film fails to impress and so it can be easily avoided. Watch it for one reason-Priyanka ,Priyanka and Priyanka.
