2. John had his name tag on others did not.
3. Who said alternate empty and full glasses by one. So if you take one empty glass and move it next to filled ones. Now full and empty are alternating but not in equal numbers.
4. He threw some kind of death causing material (virus, radio active material) in the air in the direction the wind was blowing.
Laterial thinking does not limit your horizon or possibilites so these puzzles have more alternate solutions they one provided by the creator of the puzzles are not the only ones. For example for the fourth puzzle you are assuming that the ships have only one way of knowing about the obsticle the light house and basing your solution on that. What about the powerfull lights the ship are equiped with and can see for miles with the help of these lights. What about radars they have.
So this person was a lunatic. He had planted something in the boat which brought his supplies , the boat crew never came in but who said that this lunatice did not go inside the supply boat.
So for those of you who did not come up with the standard answers do not feel bad you are more lateral than the creator of these puzzles.
