Koi Aap Sa Movie Review

Himanshu Malik .... Vicky

Director : Partho Mitra

This is the story of three friends – Rohan (Aftab Shivdasani), Simran, (Natassha) and Priti (Dipannita Sharma). They have as much fun fighting as they have making up.

Their lives are full of fun, frolic and in Rohan’s case – football. Rohan is basically a fun loving and sporty guy. He doesn’t have a worry in the world! However, during the course of the movie, other sides to his character are revealed.

Rohan loves Priti and his best friend Simi is forever giving him tips on how to woo the pretty miss. However, the fact that most of these tips backfire is another reason for Rohan and Simi to fight some more. But matters soon get sorted out once Simi’s fiancée Vicky (Himanshu Malik) arrives on the scene.

Now there are four instead of three of them having fun together. But one terrible night shatters Simi’s life forever she loses her laughter. It is at this juncture that Rohan and Simi’s existing relationship develops into something much deeper. The movie is about the bonds of friendship and how these bonds enrich ones life.

Watching Koi Aap Sa is like watching a big screen version of the soppy and pretentiously dramatic Ektaa Kapoor soap operas that we see on television.

What could’ve been a 2 hour touching and absorbing tale turns into something unecessarily long. While the first half is crackling with humourous situations and witty dialogues laced with humour the second half drags on and fails to keep the viewer entertained on any level.

Director Partho Mitra makes a forgettable debut with this movie. But for a few stray portions in the film, Koi Aap Sa is a boring, emotionally fluffy movie. It was intended to stir your emotions. But it only leaves you drowsy.
