Air India Boeing and Airbus Pictures


Air India is the largest international airline in India and the national flag carrier of India with a network of passenger and cargo services worldwide. Its main base is Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, with hubs at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi and Chennai International Airport. The airline connects 95 destinations around the world, including 12 gateways in India with Air India Express, which is a fully-owned subsidiary of Air India.

Air India and its low-cost subsidiary Air India Express currently operate a fleet consisting of the following 42 aircraft including the Airbus A310 and Boeing 737/747/777.

The Airline entered the Guinness Book of World Records - The largest evacuation by a civil airliner, involving evacuation of over 111,000 people from Amman to Mumbai - a distance of 4,117 km, by operating 488 flights in association with Indian Airlines, during August 13 - October 11, 1990, lasting a total of 59 days. The operation was carried out during Persian Gulf War in 1990 to evacuate Indian expatriates from Kuwait and Iraq.

Air India planes look awful both in the interior and exterior. AI services also sucks with no PTV . If u all find AI planes very beautiful, plese take a look at Singapore Airlines' new B777-300ER and A380 to see the actual standard of a 5+ star airlines

I think it's truly a sad state that an airline can have its planes look so nice on the outside and yet such pigsties on the inside. For a number of years I worked with a crew that was assigned to clean the inside of these aircraft. The smell when the doors were opened was absolutely nauseating and on more than one occasion all the doors had to be left open for several hours in order to air it out! Also, the attitudes of the flight crews left a lot to be desired! I remember informing one flight attendant of how attractive she looked in her uniform only to have her tell me to mind my place in the world! How truly disgusting! Yes, they do look nice on the outside but like a lot of things looks can indeed be deceiving!

But service is not upto the standard in some routes. They have to look into that otherwise Private companies like kingfisher will overtake it in customer satisfaction.Its happeining now!!!

outside fantantic look.hope inside service and get up would also be as rosy as projected outside.on one my flights to india,there was only one TV on board and that too not working.just reminded me of those video coach buses stading at dadar.

My dear Air India Mgt.
I am a frequent flyer in Air India, Jetairways, Oman Air. Regretfully I have to inform you that any time I take your Flight Air India Express to Muscat Dep. Ahmedabad-Mum-MCT 1055 hrs approx. it is invariably always late and never departs in time. It is always delayed and leaves by 1230 am, 0130 am etc. Why can you not maintain the scheduled timings like Jet airways & Oman Air which in 99% cases leave in time, being a National carrier it should always set an example than the private ones.

I stopped flying Air India since 2001. A very very very bad experience and terrible service - even in the Business class. I will never fly Air India ever again. They lost my annual 4 business class tickets since 2001. New planes are good, but the service still sucks.

Dont judge the book by it is cover. When you step inside the airline than you get the true colors. It is the shitest airline to travel with. The staff are traitors. The service is the worst. It should be called never on time airline. The main aouncement is "sorry for the 3 hours delay which is regretted"
