Kya Love Story Hai Movie Review
Don’t be misled by this movie’s title. ‘Kya Love Story Hai’ is crammed with obvious clichés of a love triangle. Kya Love story Hai is a done to death love triangle that does not have a novel script. The screenplay too is very basic and has nothing extraordinary and the actors efforts too do come across as average.
The story revolves around a young sweet girl next door and an enthusiastic boy who falls head over heels for her. Unfortunately the boy does not have the courage to directly admit his feelings for the girl and he also finds out that the girl is put off by his carefree and frivolous lifestyle. Later a young over ambitious guy enters the picture and outwardly the girl feels he is the perfect man to be her husband.

The film is a triangular love story directed by Lovely Singh and stars Ayesha Takia as Kaajal, Tusshar Kapoor as Arjun newcomer Karan Hukku as Ranveer Oberoi and Kareena Kapoor in a special appearance for a song. The story and screenplay has been written by Rahul Singh and the music has been composed by Pritam.
Arjun is a young lad who has been blessed with a secure future thanks to his parents money and hence he goes on to lead a carefree but frivolous lifestyle in Cape Town. He is a qualified architect but unfortunately does not have any goal or ambition. One day however he meets a sweet girl next door, Kaajal and gradually falls for her sweet and innocent nature. But Kaajal is serious about doing something with her life and focused about her career and ambition.
Though Arjun is in love with her, he never works up the nerve to tell her directly but one day he gets to know her views about him and his lifestyle. Kaajal feels that Arjun is wasting away his life and does not feel that any girl would want to be with him as he does not have any ambition nor any self made identity. Arjun is hurt that the girl whom he loves has this opinion about him. So he decides to take control of his life and make something of himself and off he goes to build his career in another city.

Kareena Kapoor
‘Kya Love Story Hai’ reeks of everything that is stale. An old wine stirred in a new bottle may become more potent, but an old and beaten-to-death story rehashed and recycled only make a movie painful to watch.
There isn’t much to write about the performances. Ayesha Takia is just about average. Tusshar Kapoor looks too committed to play his part right. Karan Hukku is uptight.

Audiences are bored of love stories and want something different and exciting nowadays. Unfortunately this love story has nothing new to offer audiences; hence at the box office it will probably not have a good response. Also the film opened on the day of the Ash-Abhi wedding which had much more drama and hullabaloo. Kya Love Story Hai has an uninspiring script, a lifeless screenplay and a done to death concept, hence the film is much below average.
