This is not Dubai.. It is Mumbai!

The name Mumbai is an eponym, etymologically derived from Mumba or Maha-Amba— the name of the Hindu goddess Mumbadevi, and Aai — mother in Marathi. Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, is the capital of the state of Maharashtra, the most populous city of India, and by some measures the most populous city in the world with an estimated population of about 18 million (as of 2006).  

Here are some awesome snaps of Mumbai. The skyline has changed so much in the past few decades, although the heart remains the same. Hope you like them!

Dubai is Dubai and Mumbai is Mumbai, there is no comparison between the two.
Like to see some Photographs of Mumbai during the Monsoon with flooded water everywhere and poor people struggling in the rain.
It paints a sorry picture of Mumbai and the Mumbikars are doing nothing about it.
Nothing to be proud of is there? The richest city in India is at the mercy of the Rain God.

Can't find what makes you people think less of India. Maximum internet users are Indians. In many fields we are ahead of economically improved countries including technology. India is a rich country with more population and poor people. If we collect the gold from the individuals, then you will find India is the richest country, the reason why we were invaded by many. The corrupted government forming disables any kind of forward moves. Best example is interlinking rivers which can reduce global warming up to the maximum extent because whole India will be ever green with rich forest which can alone save the ecology. Our future prime minister Rahul Gandhi unfortunately talks against, misled by his advisers. He can not be matured for his age and will realize in future. This is the way India is and the corruption and poverty. If all Indians become true, the day is not for away, then we can realize the change. Until this even the well educated will be talking this way only. That is our fate which will change with phase of time. India, the first country to have reserved forests to reduce global warming up in the name of British Queen.

Nice shots. I had a strange incident on Malabar Hill one day. 3 cops showed up behind me and asked me if I had taken permission from the Commissioner of Police to use a tripod to photograph Marine Drive. I don't know if they were being serious or just there to make a quick buck. But I sure as hell got out of there as fast as I could before they got other ideas. Thankfully I had already photographed something usable.

Mumbai or Bombay, what ever you call it so nice. We have seen only one side from far in photos. In real, it is hard to walk around when it rains. Lot of efforts required to make it clean. Pl who ever is in charge, inform the International Air port authorities to pack off of the pre paid taxies, which smells vomit and urine, decades old cabbies. for God's sake. No foreigner will like it.

I appreciate Mumbailife,whic h has a guts to move on in-spite of being attacked several times. but still when its come to comes to the matter of keeping environment Cleanliness, i may step back. cause all the focus on this article was on taking long range shots. Nobody would take close up shot of streets because its that much dirty. still has long way to got. sorry for the offense guys
