MAINE PHONE KYUN KIYA provides laughter unlimited, but logic takes a complete backseat as the story unfolds.
 
Salman Khan plays the lead role of Dr. Samir in Maine Pyar Kyon Kiya. He is a doctor by profession and a Casanova by nature. He is always flirting with some or the other girl. Each time his girlfriends express their desire to get married, he says he is already married. He is quite different from run of the mill Doctors in a sense that he wears jhumka in ears and spends more time in Disco than in Hospital!

Enter Katrina Kaif, a bright and beautiful model. She falls in love with Samir[Salman]. There is one condition though: Salman has to introduce her to his fictitious wife. So Salman and his nurse Naina[SUSHMITA] pretend to be wife and husband in eye of Katrina . Samir is unaware of the fact that Naina actually loves him and that she has a soft corner for him in her heart. Naina is Samir`s most loyal and dutiful friend. She is always there to help him in life.

But that ’s not all! Now Katrina wants to meet children of Salman! Then she comes to know that Sushmita is having affair with ARSHAD WARSI who in turn is romancing ESHA KOPPIKAR ! Then there is Sohail Khan [Pyaare Mohan] who is neighbour of Katrina and loves her. Not to forget ,Salman’s mother who is the most entertaining character .

A plot like this could have turned out to be highly confusing or an utter drag. It is watchable because of Rumi Jaffrey's tout screenplay, Sanjey Chhel's dialogues and Salim-Suleman's background score. David Dhawan delivers goods by coming up with a non-stop laugh riot that turns out to be a neat family entertainer. The Movie has a rich'n'glossy look throughout, courtesy Vikas Shivraman's cinematography.
